The figure represents the latest solar wind composition data we have. The color coding shows how many ions of a given species have been detected during a given day. The logarithmic color coding is scaled to the maximal count rate and therefore changes from day to day. The ellipses indicate positions for commonly detected ions, including H+, He2+, He+, C4+ - C6+, O6+ - O8+, Ne8+, Mg10+, Si8+ - Si9+, and Fe6+ - Fe16+.
